| Indian Tourist Visa from Vietnam Hi, My friend is looking to get a Indian tourist visa at the Indian consulate in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam. He is there on a student visa and cannot get through to the embassy or consulate to answer his questions about documents required for the visa. Any advice about how a Canadian on a long term student visa should get an Indian tourist visa? Should he book his ticket before he gets the visa? Should he fill out the basic tourist visa application and bring the basic documentation or are more items required since he is residing in Vietnam, but from Canada? Any help or guidance about the visa or the consulate in Ho Chi Minh would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

| I'm not sure if this will help, but we managed to pick up a indian tourist visa in Hanoi. You needed your passport, which had to show your current visa status in vietnam [ours was tourist], a rough idea of where you'd be visiting in india, a copy of your flight itenary in and out of india and the application fee. It took 5 working days to turn around. We found the details of the indian embassy in hanoi online, headed over there and they were pretty helpful. |
