Your tourist visa will still be valid--no need for another visa (tourist visas are multiple entry). You can leave the airport if you want to.

Hello Merchant ,thanks for your reply ,in the guide line of the Visa from Consulate General of India , the Tourise Visa fee are $ 62 but they don't say it is single or Multiple, but in the application form , we can choose Single / Double/ triple/ multiple.
So you think i can just marked Multiple and send $ 62 , then i will get my Multiple Visa ?

Thanks for your help .

By default, the standard 6-month tourist visa is multiple entry. Just go head and check multiple to be safe. Other types of visas may or may not be multiple, but the regular tourist one is multiple.

I don't think so, but always good to consult the airline or Indian consulate. Did you apply for mutiple entry visa? That would automatically take care of the issue.

I know a lot of Brits obtain a 6 month visa around October and that will see them through a few trips to Goa over the winter so think you'll be OK.
