Hi..

Great to see such an interesting and useful forum...

I have started a new job which involves travelling to our office in india towards the end of may. I sent my business visa application by post to the hayes office by royal mail registered post with a return registered Self addressed envelope, also included are - a letter of invitation addressed to me from the indian company, a letter addressed to the high commision from the indian company and a letter from my office addressed to the high commision, all three letters contain the necessary information, also 2 50mm x 50mm pics and my passport. However I have just read that i was supposed print off and send a checklist.. will they not process my application because the checklist wasnt included?

Secondly although i am born in the UK my parents and grand-parents were born in pakistan, they all came over in the 60s bar my maternal grandmother who has visited uk but never been a citizen...

how is this likely to effect my aplication? i have put the relevant details on the form but now someone tells me that i apparently needed an additional pakistani origin form to go alongside my application... this wasn't mentioned in the application process...

this is my first time and im really confused! My boss has asked me to go for a 12month multiple entry visa which he paid for online but after reading various posts on here im now thinking my visa may take much longer.. Any postive stories and answers please?

Sorry also to add does anyone know the telephone number to contact them? i cant seem to find it on the VFS website anywhere...

Also as its a business visa is it more likely to be approved then a tourist one?

I have just recieved an email saying my application has been processed... i was told minimum of 45 days due to pakistani origin and yet its only been a week since i sent the application.

is there any way i can find out if the application has been accepted or rejected... scared it may have been rejected as i was told ALL pakistani origin applicantions take a minimum of 45days... cant wait for it in the post, it is special delivery but might not get it till monday now!

any advice welcome

Hii..

yeh i got this today... it was in my junk mail folder luckily i caught it before emptying...

seems like an auto response though did contain my passport details at the top of the email...

the only thing i'm confused about is why its only 3 months when i've applied for a 12 month business visa stipulating why i need to have multiple entries over the year...

need to ring tomorrow and find out...

Dear Applicant,

This is with reference to your visa application to visit India. We are pleased to inform you that the clearance has been received from the concerned authorities for processing your visa.

You are, therefore, advised to submit your passport along with a print out of this e-mail to the concerned VFS Centre (Victoria or Goswell or Hayes), where you had submitted your visa application. The visa would be valid for three months from the date of issue.

Hi Guys,

In an awkward situation ! need as much help as i can ..

Sent for a business Visa on 3rd Aug,they then wanted more information which was sent and received by them on 13th Aug and started to process the application.

Now,issue is that im of pakistani origin and going on a business visa. Even though i was born in pakistan i was only a few months old before i came here.

My main problem is that im suppose to be going to madrid with mates on 5th sep. I havnt got my passport back and from what iv read its not looking good. Will i get my passport back by then or will they send it once they have processed the app which can take upto 3 months iv heard..?? I have started to panic. Any info would be welcome.
