Help : Applied For Fresh Passport But Police Verification Not Done?

Dear Friends,

I Have appiled for Fresh Paaport on 2nd Feb in Chennai - Saligramam
Office And They Have Told me That Police Verification Will Done Within 21 Days But Till Date PVY Is Not Done,

What Should I Do Pls Help me Someone?

It will take more than that because of the backlogs. Infact my parents applied for passport end of Jan and after 30 days PV was done. Just wait!!

You need to contact the nearest police station for the same. Same thing happened to me, my file was sleeping with the police person for almost 33 days and initiated that process and almost thro now.

Yes, the best way to cut short on this is to contact your nearest police station from where the verification is suppose to be conducted; you will find ways after contacting them.

Today I Checked In Online About My Passport Status And Shows As


"Passport application has been granted and Police Verification Report has been submitted. You would receive an email/sms once the passport is dispatched."


- So When Can I Expect My Passport To Deliver At Home

After this status when did u receive ur passport? Pls tell me
