Hi guys, sorry if this posted in the wrong section .My friend and i are travelling to india in october, but we are concerned as to putting a contact address on this "health screening card" that they want everyone to carry upon entry to india. We do not have a contact address over there?. Does` anybody have any info on these forms and what to put?....

The main reason for having the address is to ensure you that the health authorities would be able to contact you should one of your co-passengers in flight show signs of the swine flu at a later date.

You would be staying somewhere once you land. A hotel or any other accomodation. Just provide that address. You do not have to stay at that location for the duration of the visit. So if you move from place to place, ensure you leave your forwarding address at the previous location.

I wouldn't be too concerned about the address.

Just put whatever address you used for your visa application, which presumably was a hotel. The authorities realise that many visitors will be travelling while in India; if they wanted you to list more addresses than your first one they should have made more space for it on the forms.

The idea of having your address is that if someone on your flight is diagnosed with swine flu, they can contact all their fellow passengers to make them aware of the risk. If that is important to you, give forwarding addresses when you leave your first hotel, otherwise there's no need.
