FRRO registration and proof of residence for non married mixed couple

Hi everybody!

Sorry for this very long title but I wanted to make it clear.

I am currently waiting for my Employment Visa to work in Bangalore and I am worrying regarding the FRRO registration...
I am going to live with my Indian fiance. He is renting this appartement for a few months now and the rent agreement is on his name. I don't know what to give as a proof of residence...
- What should I give to the FRRO?
- Are we going to be in troubles as we are not married (yet )?
- Does he need to register to the police as "someone who hosts a foreign girl?"
- Should he come with me during the registration?
- Are we going to get visits from the police?
- What did you do/ what would you do in such a situation?
