FRO registration.

Hi,we have just got our Business visa,as it's a one year one with no 180 day restriction can anybody tell me what paperwork we need to take to the fro office.I know you need 3 colour copies of your passport and Visa but anything else ?

you'll also need to take any supporting documents you used to get your business visa, eg letters from the sponsoring company youre working with etc. They also asked me for proof of an address in India. The best rule is to take copies of everything and anything that may be appropriate

You will find this link useful.

On top of everything, write a letter telling them what you want. This prevents them from checking everything, telling you it is ok, then asking you to go away and write a letter!

Dear Immigration Officer,

As I have just filled in a form requesting registration, and handed it to you, complete with all the required documents, it might be considered obvious that that is what I came for and what I want.

Hey! Just joking! What you should actually do is call the guy sir, be very respectful, say thank you a lot.

But one can dream!

They have a thing about covering letters; humour them and write one!
