I am 29 and living in India from birth. In Feb 2010 i applied for British Overseas Citizen in india. And i got my British overseas passport in march. now i am going to apply for British Citizen.

For these i have to make registrations at my nearest FRRO Office and get visa for living in india.

The problem is that i find the FRRO Office near by and ask for Registration and Indian visa, but they didnt have any forms with them. A person told me that you have to download it from website www.nic.org.in. but web site is not working and i want the following forms. please help i am stuck with these government matters.

The forms that i want were given below.

1) Part Registration Report -
2) Extend to stay in india -
3) 10 column form -
4) Application form -

i also downloaded some forms form india.gov.in and www.nic.in
and show them to FRRO officer but he refuse that these are not those form which he want.

Please help,
Thank you in advanced

I thought you had to live 5 years in the UK, before you could convert BOC to CUKC.

Since 2006 it has been possible for a BOC to register as a British Citizen (what was formerly known as a CUKC with the Right of Abode in the UK - the right that distinguishes British Citizens from other UK passport holders). The catch is that BOCs who do not qualify by residence must not hold, and must not have relinquished since July 2002, any other citizenship (and, incidentally, the UK considers OCI as citizenship of another state, so a BOC would be ill-advised to apply for OCI before becoming a British Citizen).

I imagine the OP would have to convince the UK authorities that he did not have Indian citizenship, or if he did that it was relinquished before July 2002.

How does an individual born in India and continue living for the next 29 years be *state less* ? He/She is by birth, Indian citizen unless as a minor of CUKC, or more like BOC parents who chose not to register him as a BOC.

UK citizenship laws make a sane head insane The OP has omitted a detail or two that fogs the mirror.
