First Name misspelling correction in passport
Hi,
I am S.SABAPATHY. There is a misspelling in my passport in which my name has been typed as SABABATHY. I need to correct the spelling from SABABATHY to SABAPATHY. Kindly let me know what is the procedure for this correction and how much time it will take? Many Thanks in advance.... with regards, S.SABAPATHY |

At a guess (and no more than a guess), you would need to either:
- apply for a new passport or, - have a correction entered into the existing passport by the Govt. Department responsible for their issue and, have it stamped by them to indicate the correction. Hopefully for you, it's the second option which would be a lot quicker than the first. Cheers Zoltan
