extending 6 month visa

Ok sorry, I searched the forum for a related question, but most seem to waffle on in a different direction.

So here's my waffling post.

I'm in India since July and my visa expires in December. Is there a way to extend it just for 30days without leaving the country? Even 15 days would be ok and I saw one thread that mentions a 15 day extension for emergencies. Any info on that? I'm traveling on a UK passport.

thanks
Rog

Is it a tourist visa?

If so, and you have browsed the information already on the site, then I wonder if your definition of "waffle" is the answer you didn't want?

It's been asked many times, and answered many times. The answer is no.

--- unless you want to, for example, break a few bones, and spend the thirty days that you want in hospital.

yeah tourist visa

The waffle I refured to was the common practice of people going off topic with both questions and replies.

It may have been answered asked and answered many times, but from my look in the search it comes up with so much non focused information, that its too time consuming and confusing to try and sort through it.

Case in point

You say no, but I'd heard different and was trying to clarify.

Problem is, if I just post "no" --- someone will come and say, "But hey, what if I break all my bones on day 179?". Believe me!

The rest of the waffle results from the people who just don't believe a straight answer, or think that it must, somehow, be different for them as they are special and unique. Yes, I'd have to agree, this leads to vast quantities of waffle but, none-the-less, the straight answer to the straight question has been posted over and over

Never, for a moment, intended to cast doubts on your special individuality!
