can a belgian visa refusal affect my chances of getting visa to other schengen count

Hi All,

I am a frequent traveller to the north americas and most of the european countries including some schengen states,last time i appled for a belgian visa i got refused would this affect my chances of getting visa to other schengen countries,any of you have any idea if the shengen countries share data on visa refusals.
help on this topic will be deeply appreciated.
