Business VISA to India

Dear Sir

We are running a apparel sourcing office for ITALIAN clients in which two Italians were inducted as Director. The firm has incorporated under India companies Act. We would like to know the procedure and possiblity of getting One year Business Visa for our Director.

deepu - your Director will need to get the Business Visa in Italy. Here's a thread with basic information re Business Visas:

check this out - bear in mind it's 2 years old and some requirements may be changed. Your Director should contact the Indian High Commission in Italy and check there what is currently required for getting it. I'm sure there will be a website for the Italian IHC which he/she can go to.

Thanks for your reply. I have gone through the thread you recomended. But as far as Business visa concern, I didn't find anything regarding VISA for the Forign Director in Indian companies. Could u pls elobarate me.

Certainly: http://www.indianembassy.it/. Note also their Milan branch at http://www.indianembassy.it/consulat.htm. You really will need to contact them about it (and try to avoid any "cud u pls"'s in your formal communications with either them or others, certainly if you mean to be taken seriously as a professional).
Do check also http://immigrationindia.nic.in/ while you're at it.

What you will require is a letter from companies or suppliers that you are dealing with in India to show what involvement there is with your Indian registered company. A letter from your accountant would also be very useful. A letter from your company stating what position the applicant holds and the duties that they perform in the company, all correctly signed and on the companies letterhead. And last a certified copy of your Articles of Association and your Memorandum of Association.

This should provide a 5 year Business Visa from your home county, as my wife has just received hers after we put this package together based on the requirements of the Indian High Commission. It was immediately accepted and she had the visa delivered to her address in two days.
