Born in India, US passport, no entry stamp to India!

Hello, I desperately need advice! My american dad is trying to get my little brother over to visit me in Perth Australia from India. The problem they are encountering is this; my brother was born in India and has lived there ever since, therefor his USA passport has no "entry" stamp from India. We've been waiting for months for his Indian passport, but are concerned about trouble getting him back into India after his trip with the US passport... Any ideas????
Thank you! I hope thats not too confusing!!!

To be able to leave India, he needs an "Exit" visa.

When you say "lived there ever since"... He is still only a baby isn't he? Otherwise he's been living illegally in India, and his position needs regularising pdq!

??? He no longer qualifies for an Indian passport; having accepted citizenship of another country automatically invalidates his Indian nationality.

While he does not qualify for an Indian passport, due to his father being Indian, he does qualify for both PIO and OCI status. They take a while to obtain, but aquiring either of which would mean that he does not need a visa to enter India, even on an American passport.

You will find threads advising people who give birth in India. Even though your brother is not a baby any longer, I'd guess that the procedure wouldn't be that different.

The automatic 'similar threads' function has already come with a few. See the bottom of the page.

Echoing Haylo's remark about the Indian passport: India does not allow dual nationality.

Echoing Nick's advice about existing discussions, you may find these threads particularly useful.
