Okidoki, ta. btw I didn't check very extensively for you -- there's absolutely no guarantee their info is accurate or up-to-date or anything.

Calling them up would be my preferred method. Keeping in mind there's absolutely no guarantee etc.

Oh and welcome btw

Not only are they stopping postal service, they are also reducing the number of people they see to 50 a day.

Apparently it was chaotic at Birmingham Consulate today. 200 people were turned away and told to come back tomorrow. Some people stormed the consulate to vent their anger. The Consulate has outsourced most of the visa application work to 12 travel agents and charities. Now this is where I am confused. Apparently the Consulate suggested an additional charge of between £7-10 could be charged by these agents. However some are charging an extra £30-38. Now I always assumed that the fee for a tourist visa of £30 was to cover administative work carried out by the Consulate or High Commission so why are we still paying them £30 when they are not involved? Could it be that this is a profit making on the part of the Consulate and High Commission venture or am I being a little cynical?
