Visa
Has this site been mentioned before? I found it last night through a Yahoo Q&A. Apparently you just need to send them your passport & a couple of photo's and they will sort the rest out for you.

To Haylo and anybody else who previously applied for a visa online at VFS. It would appear that some people's details have not been deleted from their system thus preventing a new application being created.
I checked mine today and it is still stating passport passed to Royal Mail. An attempt at creating a new application failed. I have sent an email to VFS highlighting this and asked for my details to be removed to enable me to make a new visa application. Lets hope they rectify this and not rely on individuals requesting removal of their details. Where is Asmithee when you need him! |

Hello everyone. I'm starting to plan a trip to India with my girlfriend in October and we thought we'd get the visas out of the way straight away. We're going to apply by post as London is a fair old way from Sheffield.
On the web site there are some swine flu documents which you are told to print out, fill in and send along with the regular application forms. As we're not traveling for several months this seems a little pointless. Is this correct or have we just got the wrong end of the stick and misunderstood something? Thanks for any help in advance. |

Hi SteveO
The website says that the health card has to be completed and signed before travelling to India. It does not ask that it is sent along with the application form. See the link below. http://in.vfsglobal.co.uk/ |

Hi Indiluv,
What can I say? D'OH! How did we manage to misread that so badly? Serious case of not enough alcohol lately, obviously ![]() Thanks for the reading lesson, Steve |

Don't forget visas are valid from date of issue and if you apply to early it cuts down on your stay time

Don't stress over this, when I flew into Delhi a two months ago, we were given the forms on arrival. Last month we were given them on the flight.
Obviously it will be easier to print them off and fill them in to take with you, but I am absolutely certain that forms will continue to be available on arrival; people such as myself with longer term visas, or even returning non resident Indians would not have had to go to the VFS website and would have no warning that this was needed. |

Got ours on the plane last month.
It even said that if you started getting symptoms during the flight, you had to ask the crew for masks --- so they handed it out at the very beginning. |

Can I just clear up the confusion over VFS instructions about what to do with the form..............
Up to yesterday, it did say to print it out and submit along with your visa application, so SteveO you are correct! Yesterday, VFS presumably realised that the procedure was pointless and a waste of time so changed the website, so Indiluv, you are correct too! So, who is The Weakest Link? VFS as always, of course............... |

Hi there,
Just a quick question, given that I'm in Sunderland and thus not awfully close to any application centres, is there anyway to complete the whole process by post? Or will I have to attend in person? Thanks |
