Applying for an Indian Tourist Visa in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore Questions
Hello Guys,
I applied for an Indian tourist visa in KL on 27.10. since then there is no answer. I still need to wait for the clearance date. I start getting worried today after I called the visa application center to ask what's going on. They said it may takess up to 3 weeks. In the beginning they told me 5 working days. Monday was the Guru Nanak's Birthday so it was not working day but so far they are 7 working days without reply. I need to fly next Saturday. I saw on the web site www.india-visa.com that in Singapore it takes maximum 3 days: Quote:
My 2nd question is where do they send the application forms for a aproval and why does it takes so long to get an answer? thanks! miro |

Thanks nycank, I will go and ask them tomorrow. I 'm afraid they did send the application form to a wrong country. It happened to me already few times to ask Hungarian and Belgium authorities for visa issues!!!?!
I'm just not sure if they will tell me tomorrow even if they make a mistake. I need to know where do they send application for approval, so I can call them back in Bulgaria and ask if there is such application. cheers, miro |

Oh, at least now I know they didn't send it to Bulgaria, so I need to inform them tomorrow. and I found the answer of my second question. They do send your name and the passport number to the Indian mission in the country of residence of the applicant. I submitted my application form in the only official Indian Visa Center here in Kuala Lumpur. It's a private company. The visa process here is outsourced. They don't collect passports until they receive a reference for clearance. They also collect 48 ringgits (10 euro) for processing your documents to the High Commission of India. cheers, miro |
