about this $25000 rule for working in India

I'm very surprised that this rule requiring a $25000 annual salary to obtain an employment visa and which was put in place in 2010 has made so few noise on the internet.
There are so few threads about this in forums while it's a very tough law.

But there are threads about it here already.

Did you know that UK is mulling over some changes that could see immigrants who have lived there for years thrown out if their income is not higher than I ever achieved?

Why should they earn more than what you've ever achieved?
Or you mean that for an immigrant in the UK, he will have to earn ever increasing salary to not to be thrown out?

I agree heavytull! There is talk now of removing the two-month out rule for tourist visas. I wonder what it will take for a reconsideration of this dumb $25,000 rule.

But what I don't understand is that such a rule had to push people to demonstrate in the streets.
Do most people actually use any work around to by bypass this rule??

I do not understand what you want to convey. And i think you still do not understand what others replying to your post want to convey....

This rule is only a mirror of what most every country uses to keep out most immigrants.. including france (which is listed as your location.

Check out the rules for an Indian to get a work visa for which ever country you are a citizen off...

What I said is clear. I just checked the rules for an Indian to come for work in France. It seems he will need a business visa. The requirements to get it are not shocking compare to the living cost here. The only point for which Indians might struggle a bit is the €30000 evacuation cover. But I'm sure Indian banks have tons of loan offers for such purposes.

I said that the Indian rule for having an employment visa for a European citizen seems shocking enough to push people to protest. That's because the minimum $25000 salary condition is crossing by far the living cost in India.

I think it should be hard for a European let's say with 10 yrs experience as an engineer in a multi national company to obtain a work contract with $25000/annum in India.
While a 2 years experienced engineer from India will easily get a work contract in Europe.

Your missing the point India doesn't need people it has enough of it's own, so yes this is protectionist but for a very good reason.
