5-year visa

I've heard that New Zealanders are able to get a 5year multi entry visa for India, but still need to leave the country every 6months.
Is this true?
How would I apply for this?

If that's an option for you, it will be stated on the visa application, which you can probably download from Indian Consulate/High Commission New Zealand website.

Yes, these multi-year visas mean you have to leave after 180 days and then return to India.

Note that the initial time on your visa starts elapsing when they paste it into your passport, so you want to get it just a few days before you leave, to maximize your time in India.

I dont think you can unless you are of indian origin, in which case you can get an entry visa. The indian high comissions website is www.hicomind.org.nz, I could only get a 6 month tourist visa, but contact them and see what they say.
