3-4 Month Stay. Need Help !
I will be staying in Himachal Pradesh for 3 months in early 2005. I'm coming from America and I was wondering which documents that I would need to obtain so that everything will go smoothly on my journey ?

You aren't required to bring any documents to India, but obviously if you're going for a 6-month visa you need to apply for it about two months before the start of your trip--apply to early and it'll expire before you're scheduled to come home (in other words, the clock starts as soon as the visa is issued). Of course you can get a 10 year visa for $150 and then this caveat is eliminated. Other than that you might want to bring your optical prescription if you wear glasses. It could save you some time if you need to replace them.
