INdia 10 year visa
My understanding is that the 10 year visa costs the same as the 5 year visa. Go figure.

British Visa for Indian Citizens in India
There is often a question about why British citizens only get 5 year visas to India (and US citizens get 10 year visas) So I went to the page of the British High Commission and here is the information for visa prices
6 month visas - Rs 5,400 (how many miles in 2S class is this?) 1,2,5 year visas - Rs 17,000. No mention of 10 year visas so presume they are not available for Indian citizens travelling to UK. |

US Visas for Indian Citizens in India
The flat rate for US tourist visas required for Indian citizens (apparently of any duration) is $100 (set at Rs 4,000 on Oct 15, 2007). The service charge to the outsourced agent is Rs 322.00 (about $8).
I did not realize the British visas are so much more expensive than US visas for Indian citizens (I am US citizen). Hopefully this will clear up any complaints of why US citizens get longer visas than UK citizens from Indian consulates |

There is still a maximum stay of 180 days at each entry and you have to be a US citizen to get the 10 year visa.
