10 year visa in old passport
I applied for and received a tourist visa for India in 2006 for a 2 month trip to India I made from 15 December 2006 to 15 February 2007. The visa I received then has a date of issue 07 Aug 2006 and a date of expiry of 06 Aug 2016. I want to visit India again for 2-3 months from Dec, 2012 to Feb, 2013 Do I need make application for a new visa? The visa which I received in 2006 is in my old US passport which expired 19 Dec 2010. I have a new passport and would hope to be able to transfer the old visa to my new passport? I can not find information on if and how to do this with the new outsourced TRAVISA contract operation.
Carry both the passports. Old one with the 10-year visa, and the new passport.
