Squash

I need some ideas on how to prepare squash? (Indian style, of course)

Here you are:

350gms Squash cut in to small cubes

1 tspn nigella seeds

1/2 tspn turmeric

salt to taste

oil--preferably mustard--1/4-1/2 cup

heat oil--add nigella seeds, when they start sputtering toss in the squash cubes. saute, stirring constantly till the squash begins to give up water--add the turmeric and salt, saute some more, then lower the heat to a simmer, cover and cook till done. This will take anywhere between 15-30 minutes depending on how fresh your squash is. When done the squash will be soft but not mushy, and there should be some oil left in the bottom of the pan. this is a very delicate, nutty flavored dish and goes very well with masoor dal and rice.

Doubt it
I just figured it out... but then maybe I didn't...
Wikipedia calls them kalonji which can be black caraway, onion seed, black sesame or black cumin.

I've been wondering about those seeds too........they are their own spice, kalonji, that is not the same flavor as the others mentioned.
