Recipe for a Pahari dish?

About 29 years ago in India I was trekking from Mussoorie and made one of my mandatory tea shop stops at Dhanaulti. The shop was selling a kind of potato salad--cubed potatoes with a masala paste. It was so delicious! I was wondering if anybody here knows how they make this . . ?
