Procudure to make Ghee
Ingredients 1. 500 gms of white butter ( un - salted ) Procedure 1. Place a deep pan on the stove, and let heat 2. Drop the 500 gms of butter into the pan 3. Let butter melt in heat 4. Stir with wodden spatula until all butter is melted....the melted creamish yellow liquid comes to the top, while the bottom of the pan has a bark brown precipitate that is left 5. Separate the yellowish liquid..which is ghee or clarified butter, just pour it off from the pan. Store it in a water proof container. 6. The thick brown precipitate tastes good with sugar, and can be used as a filling for bread sandwich. Ghee enhanced the taste of Indian food...idly, dosa, sweets...and everything spicy. |
