Red face porrige

I'm too late for most people but why not try cracked wheat for porrige instead of oats. Search on google. I had it in Queensland, on a wheat farm, they cracked their own, soaked it overnight and as this was 40 years ago I don't know what happened next but it was nutty and delicious - from a person who hates porrige. Hope someone else tries the wheat - bulgur or dalia. Yours GH

Porridge for the truly lazy: put rolled oats and milk in a bowl. Microwave for about 2 minutes.

It doesn't go creamy they way it would if you were stirring it on the stove for ages, but for a quick hot winter breakfast can't be beat.

I prefer porridge you could stand a spoon up in: the other half jokes that mine could be used as a construction material.

If I'm feeling healthy, I have it with chopped dried apricots and powdered ginger, or dates and powdered cinnamon. With banana is also good.

If I'm feeling indulgent, I have it with golden syrup or honey.
