Orchha Street food
Hello
This is a bit of a long shot, but I thought it might be worth a try. I have recently returned from India and am really starting to miss the food; one street vendor in particular. In Orchha there was a man on the crossroads between the Sheesh Mahal, temple and road down to the Betwa river who sold the most amazing potato patties with dhal and what I think was a tamarind sauce. I don't suppose anyone out there has been to this stall and has been able to work out how it all was made? (or asked him, which is what I wish I had have done) There were similar things all over India so you might have had something along the same lines. (I just thought these were especially good) Or is there anybody who is in Orchha at the moment or planning to go and would be willing to try and find out? Thanks to anyone who can help Anna |

I was there last winter and I think I ate from the stall you're talking about. I certainly remember eating delicious aloo parathas by the Betwa. I'll be back in Orchha soon - hopefully this year - so I'll see if I can get a recipe.

As for my pics, some of them are panoramas (stiched 2 or more pics) and some of them have been cropped to make it more appealing to viewer. Hi Deeps,
Yes, I can see the "passion" in the pictures you have taken! You have great talent and Wish You the Very Best with it. I am sure you will go places! Will check-out the other Camera you suggested ... BUT after seeing your pictures, I am motivated to try and grow beyond my 15 second pictures! Go for a good camera and learn the techniques and do the Manual Settings! Dont know, if at my age I have that much learning ability left? Will think about that and decide You can see my Orchaa pictures at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ks_blue...7594211385963/ As you can see you are way ahead Regards, KS Quote:
