Navratan Korma
So here is another one for all y'all. I absolutely love navratan korma when I go out to the various Indian restaurants. There are variations, but the gravy always seems to have this wonderful smooth texture - almost like pudding or custard.
I've a few recipes from cookbooks and off the net. And they all have tasted good and similar to what I get at the restaurants. But the texture is not right. This is the one that has come closest to what I want. http://www.recipedelights.com/recipe...ratnaKorma.htm Anybody have any ideas how to make the gravy better? |

mmmm, yummy. Navratan Korma is my favorite indian dish, that and palak paneer. the best Navratan Korma i've had was at McLo's in McLeod Ganj. some places use fruit, others don't. i prefer it with.
i don't have any idea about recipes; hopefully someone will come along with a good one.

Thanks for the encouragement. I've usually had it without too much fruit. I've never been a big fan of cooked pineapple and other fruits. But the one in the link is really tasty with the cashews and raisins – I just wish the texture was more like what I want.
