Sweets I am crazy about, always try what ever varitites I can lay my hand on: Here is my list of some stuff I have tried
Rasgulla Gulab Jamun Barfi Rabdi Kheer/ Basundi Payassam Jalebi Imarti Ghewar (a Rajasthan Speciality) Baal Mithai (Uttaranchal speciality) Kalakand (can be deep frozen and then zap it in Microwave and again good to go) Shrikhand/Amrakhand (Maharashtrian speciality) Sandesh (various varities) Baalushahi (UP) Petha (Agra and UP speciality) Paayasam Gulkand Barfi (Haldiram) Various Barfies - chocolate, Orange, Mango etc Dudhi Halwa Gaajar Halwa Moong Dal Halwa Gazak (UP/MP) Mysore Paak Rawa, Bundi, Besan Laddos Mohan Thaal (Maharashtra) Malai Sandwich (called in various inovative names like Pakkeza etc) Raaj Bhog And so many more... I need a dose of insulin my blood sugar must be up just writing about these.... Guys: Do add to this. BTW what are some speciality sweets from Punjab (other than Gajar Halwa), Harayana, J&K and NE.... |

I am yet to taste something called Dilli ka halwa in Delhi ...

I cannot recall any Delhi specialty, I guess its Mix of Bengali, Rajasthani and UP sweets here... PS : When in Delhi, make sure you visit Gole Market once... |

mrs bagga - my childhood neighbour, made the best aloo parathas and gajar ka halwa.
that makes it a punjabi speciality as far as i'm concerned ![]() nope - it is called dilli ka halwa - i couldnt have gotten it thaat wrong... or could i or is it dilli ka laddooo - and just halwa for the rubbery ghee cube?:brishti |

My favourite is rasmalai...though i've never found a great one in india
The best i've had are from Ambala in the Uk (a chain of indian sweet shops...very good!) |
