Arrow Good bye-party - recipes needed for the cold buffet

hi everybody!

I will leave for india in about two weeks and at the last weekend I'm planning to have a good-bye-party.

I would like to serve my friends something to eat. It should be indian food, or at least taste like that (indian spices used, the recipes doesn't have to be 100 % original). I don't like eating meat and I prefer vegetarian recipes (fish is ok, too), or recipes in which I can take soy products instead (like substitute chopped meat by soy granulate)

I'm planning to have a little cold buffet, with all the things prepared before the party.

What would you suggest??

thank you for sharing your Ideas!

Lagom

Carrot halwa for dessert might be an idea. It is very bad for anybody on a diet, with condensed milk and lots of sugar. It has cardamom as a spice. But it is delicious, easy to make, and can be eaten cold. Just search the internet for recipes, I am sure you will find something..

Otherwise it I can't really think of anything cold... Usually Indian dishes are served hot.... If I think of anything I will add it.

Curd vadai, or in some places dahi vadai.............. totally delicious.

If you look up Manjulas kitchen you will even get a video of how to do,
her pakoras are good too, but should be served warm
