Bengali Singara
Oh my, my!!! Prawn Kabiraji at Mumbai!! Post your reviews please. One more thing: I think it is KabirajI. In Kolkata, it is called Kabiraji. Kabiraj literally means Ayurvedic Doctor in Bengali and there are lot of stories how Aurvedic Doctor has been associated with a snacks item!
Ashish Sir, I just copied the spelling from the newspaper article, never heard of it before but thanks for the clarification.
Yes, I would certainly prefer Prawns to the Ayurvedic Dr, thank you very much!
Hyderabadi,
A spicy, tangy Andhra chutney would perfectly complement those cutlets and kathis, what say?

Anytime Vandy, you're on! But mine will be Paneer Kati or Prawns, I dont like meat.
And before anyone says you cant have a non meat or chook Kati, let me tell you all that a good Paneer Kati can give any non veg Kati a run for its money!

Asish da, so far as I heard, the word Kabiraji came from the word 'coverings' - it denotes the outer covering made of eggs etc.
I'm curious of other linking stories you know.
Ashish Sir, and anyone else who likes Kasundi, please see here:

Just made my first ever home made Mustard - with raw mango as suggested by Ashish Sir.
PS: What does Jajabar mean? I know Duronto is the non stop train.

Congrats Julia, and thanks.
Duronto is the non stop train from point to point, fairly recently introduced. No idea as to the actual meaning.
Lets hear it from the horse's mouth so to speak - Duronto Jajabar!
