Which trains and where to collect tickets

I have a few questions on trains. Hope to get some advices from the experts and regulars here:

1) which are the trains recommended for overnight travel:

Shiliguri to Kolkata
Kolkat to Varanasi
Varanasi to Delhi

2) I do not have any address in India but would like to pre-book my tickets by inetrent. Where can I collect the tickets?

I see from other posts that you will be in Darjeeling/Siliguri before going to Sikkim; you do not need to book the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) in advance.

There is a computerised reservation counter at Siliguri Town, New Jalpaiguri and Darjeeling stations, as soon as you get to any of these stations you can book your tickets for Calcutta, Varanasi and Delhi, if you are going to Siliguri, then Darjeeling, then Sikkim, then back to Siliguri, that gives you at least a week before the departure of your train to Calcutta, that should easily be enough time.

Alternatively, book a room in advance at a hotel in Darjeeling or at the expensive (Rs2250 for a double)Cindrella hotel in Siliguri and get them to 'send the boy' for your tickets, the Cindrella hotel is run by the head of the local DHR society.
