Which part of "Not Available" Don't I Understand?

I'm trying to book an e-ticket for the 2432 TRIVNDRM RJDHNI for March 15th (VASAI RD to CAN, but this problem applies to all segments).

I'm not getting a REGRET or WL. All I get, for every train, every segment between now and two months is "NOT AVAILABLE."

I thought the Rajhdananis were e-ticketable ("E-ticketable?" I've think I've just made up a new word!)

Reservations are restricted to certain sectors on Rajdhani's.

Nizamuddin (Delhi) to Cannanore

or

Vassai Rd (or Panvel) to Trivandrum

Seem to be the only bookable sectors that I can find.

Another train would save a fortune and maybe be better timed, though it would take a bit longer.

Thanks, Steven. The timing was SO good and I was dreaming of a private compartment for two 'cause I don't sleep all that well and will probably end up reading half the night. Is that feasible in 2AC without getting lynched by compartment-mates?

Also, Do you know of any way to book 6311 on-line?

I bought a small battery-operated light that clips onto a book and also acts as a page-holder. It only illuminates the page, so certainly doesn't disturb anyone else.

Sorry, I have no ideas where you might find it in the States, but it is certainly worth looking for.

Dear soundbyte,
In all RAJADHANIS, Bookings from one Intermediate Station to another Intermediate Station ARE NOT PERMITTED, with the exception of 2429/2430.
In 2429/2430 Bookings are allowed from/to Secunderabad, though it is an Intermediate Station on the path of 2429/2430..
===========
In so far as e-ticketing is concerned, it applies only to Superfast Expresses and tickets with Waitlist Status are NOT issued under e-ticketing.
=========
So, for 6311, you may have to opt for I-Ticketing, provided you have an Indian 'address' for the delivery of the tickets OR collect the tickets in Delhi Office of IRCTC.

Most bookstores sell these lights. The 2AC berths have small individual lights with flip-up metal covers that direct the light downward onto the bunk so it's easy to read without lighting up the entire compartment.
