##The biggest nuisance is "cancelling an E-Ticket AFTER Chart Preparation" because, if you do this, you will help neither yourself nor somebody else, below you, in the Waiting List.

##As of now, we cannot predict whether the remaining two in the Remote Location Waiting List for MGS-HW Journey would move into RAC or not, but all those in BSB-HW RAC can certainly get into the train; and who knows, they might even get confirmed.

##Moreover, the 3009 departs from HWH at 20.35 hrs. I am NOT sure whether you will carry laptop with you & even if you carry whether Internet will be available or not.

##I am not sure whether you have made up your mind to retain the MGS-HW Journey ticket till you arrive in MGS, to avoid the journey in the unreserved coaches on MGS-BSB stretch (17Kms.)

##Otherwise, it would be fine, if you can shelve MGS-HW Ticket now itself and extend your HWH-MGS Tickets upto BSB in the Train!!!
Dear vsp,

If the Remote Location Chart is prepared at 8 p.m on 23rd, is it possible for me to know the coach number & berth number alloted to me for the second part of my journey on 23rd September itself ? I meant to ask, will it be upated in the Internet?
I will be having my WAP Enabled mobile with me,and can do a PNR check sitting in the train itself, will I be able to see the coach & berth number by doing a PNR check that way ? Or should I have to wait untill I reach the Varanasi/ Mughalsarai station to do the same? I don't want to wait untill I find the TTE to tell me the berth & Coach Number, and then rush towards it inside the train,as I have heard TTE at those stations doesn't wait too long to surrender the tickets to some others citing reasons that I weren't at my seat when the train started.

So,please do tell me if the final berth & coach number of BSB/MGS stations can be ha before hand sitting in the train & boarding at HWH.

Secondly, please tell me, are people in the same ticket likely to get scattered seats for RAC or they would be nearer to each other? I hear the Side Lower berths are given to two RAC ticket holders. Is that true? If so, then for my 6 tickets, am I going to get 3 berths, if those tickets doesn't get confirmed? And would thosee 3 berths be in different carriages or in the sae carriage ?

Dear exogeneric,

##While sitting in the train you 'can' know the Coach Number and also the Berth Numbers both for your MGS-HW Journey Ticket AND Varanasi-HW Journey Ticket.

##I have a suspicition that both would get confirmed in the same coach.

##Even if you stay at RAC, after Charting, all the passengers will be provided seats in the same coach, which otherwise, also means 3 Berths for 6 Passengers.

##In so far as MGS-HW Ticket is concerned, if the other two move into RAC, then two passengers will get confirmed berths and the four will remain in RAC, because there are only 4 RAC Seats earmarked for MGS-HW Journey.

Dear VSP,
You said you guess that "both" would get confirmed in the same coach; So, by "Both" do you mean the HWH-MGS & MGS-HW/BSB-MGS or the MGS-HW & BSB-HW ?
I did PMe you the PNR for the other ticket, please do let me know your findings for the same.

Dear exogeneric,

##When I said both, I meant "MGS-HW" and "BSB-HW".

##Likewise, at the time of Charting at Howrah, which is taken up around 16.00 hrs., there is every likelihood of your BSB-HW Ticket getting confirmed, against HWH-MGS (or) HWH-BSB Bookings that have taken place, WITHOUT the Remote Location Chart for BSB getting finalised at 20.00 hrs.

##From all your messages, I am able to see only one problem of your's, that is, how to travel from Mughalsarai to Varanasi, a mere distance of 17 Kms.

##I have already advised you to get your HWH-MGS Ticket extended to Varanasi, which is permitted under the Rules.

##But still, if you feel, the above proposition could be a difficult one, then DON'T CANCEL YOUR MGS-HW Ticket which also means foregoing your amount!!!

##Finally, I want to tell you only one thing - DON'T WORRY UNNECESSARILY.

Dear exogeneric,

In so far as Remote Location Quotas are concerned, I have already told you that MGS-HW Quota is 16 Berths AND BSB-HW Quota is 40 Berths; and that I suspect these 40 could 'include' the 16; and that as such the entire quota of these 40 berths could be made available in the same coach.

Dear vsp,

It is 20:00 hours now. But, the BSB-HW tickets seats can not be confired!
Wondering if it would be possible to know it before we reach the Banaras station .

Please do post here if you get to see the Berths/Coach number for my second past of the trip.

Bye for now!
