Warning: Police on trains may search you!!!

After 8 months in india, I was arriving by train into Delhi to finally fly back home. 5 km from delhi station, 2 cops approach and ask what i'm carrying in my shoulder bag! Knowing that they can lock you up for 10 years for possession of anything regulated, I really almost went into shock. I least expected it.

I think the basic idea is to bribe them at this point, just don't forget that as an option, as i did.

please SPREAD THE WORD, you may save a friend from 10 years incarceration. no joke.

search hints: drugs, charras, hash, mariajuana

we had a funny experience with train guards on a train trip to Goa, the chai wallers told them I had a bottle of beer sitting on the table, a friend had left it for us as a gesture after seeing the carriage, and it was warm. These two guards carrying a world war 1 Lee Enfield rifle approached us and questioned us in Hindi about the beer, one of the passengers attempted to speak for us telling them it was not to be drink but to take to Goa to drink, They did not want to listen to him and made angry looking faces to me in an attempt to intimidate me so I offered them to take the beer if it made them happy. They did'nt know what to do then so carried on making faces and making angry remarks in Hindi. all throught the night they were opening the curtains and checking to see if we were drinking this beer which I had put into my pack by then. We managed to see the funny side of it and laughed it off especially the old rifle I hope to god they never have to fire it they would do more damage to themselves if they did.

true, feds can still bust, but they have got bigger fish to fry, so you are o.k. with your personal stash or garden.

O, Is that forbidden??

I drank beer on trains in India. Ticket Inspectors even were holding up trains a couple of minutes, so I could jump off and buy cold beer in a station.

In London, my son and daughter work in the city centre - they have to catch the tube, ie, ungerground trains - and because of the London bombings on 7/7 - Asian/India people are targeted by police and plain clothes Officers, even when they are not carrying a bag.

Once you've been searched and questioned you are given a receipt expaling why you have been stopped - our son does not have a bear or moustash and wears western clothees- suppose the police are only doing their job.
