Villupuram to Pondicherry

Hi,
Can anyone help me. I'm arriving at Villupurum on the 8th March off train 6124 eta 04.55. Question is, how do I then get to Pondy??
Is there a local train or bus that connects with the mainline trains.

Any advice would be appreciated

there are lots of buses connecting villupuram and pondicherry .there might be trains but the buses are so frequent you dont have to wait for trains.journey time by bus also will not be more than 3 hrs.

From Villupuram , there are buses to Pondicherry approximately 20 minutes once and it will take maximum 1 Hour to cover the stretch!.

Now only I noticed you arrival time . Yes buses are there at that time and not at all a problem !

hi,

I would suggest that you travel by bus even though trains are there but you can get the bus whenever you want to go. Buses are of good condition too. There are normal state transport bus which are not that comfortable. But other private operated bus are very luxurious.
