Udaipur-Diu-Alang-Mumbai by Train

Hi, can anyone help me? In my last days in india i'd like to go from Rajastan to Diu, then pass for Alang and go to Mumbai.
It's possible by train?

I've decided to go from Udaipur to Diu and then from Diu to Mumbai (all by train), anyone can help me? thank u

Udaipur to diu by train...

udaipur to ahmedabad= 250 km by road. ahmeadabad to diu= 400 km.

There is a train from udaipur to ahmedabad which is slow. Then from ahmedabad to Verawal are two fast and comfy trains leaving around 11.00 and 7.00 in the morning and getting to verawal around same evening. From verawal to diu (95 km) is by road (bus about 3 hours..Rs. 50 or so) ..(taxi 2 hours right upto yr. hotel. (rs.600 to Rs.900/-).

You should be able to get the exact train timings by refering train time table, to steven bers timetable/postings.

It can be far more convenient to take the bus from Udaipur to Ahmedabad and then take the overnite direct sleeper bus from Ahmedabad to Diu. The bus journey from udaipur to ahmedabad is about 5 hours. The buses leave ahmdabad at nite, 9.00 pm and 10.00 pm (for Diu) from 'Paldi char rasta' Anil kunj complex. They reach diu next morning at about 7.00 to 8.00 am. The bus agencies u should use are 1. Sahjanand travels 2. Shiv shakti travels and 3. Bharat travels. All located at the Paldi cross roads. I am writing from a cyber booth and don't have the tel. numbers of these bus agencies. U could search some earler posts on diu and get the details.

there are direct 24 hour sleeper buses from diu to mumbai..leaving diu at 10.00am and reaching mumbai about 24 hrs later.
Or you could take an overnit train from rajkot (7 hrs from diu by bus) to mumbai.

u could also take a deccan airways flight (Rs.1800) from bhavnagar (4 hours from diu)to mumbai..just 1 hour by air. Flight leaves bhavnagar at around 3.00 pm

the weather is pretty nice n sunny right now or at least till yesterday when i left diu. It was actually lovely!
Am in ahmedabad for a couple of days..actually staying on the outskirts and its actually very pleasant weather. Maybe warm in the city.
