1. Incomplete Information.
2. If the ticket does not confirm you can travel with him. (You would need to share berths with him)
3. Kindly post all the future query here:

usually, with counter tkt (or i-tkt), you are at least entitled to travel in GN class & keep pestering the TTE to see if you have a chance. the only concern i see is that 12233 LKO NDLS AC EXP does not have any other coach besides the reserved one (perhaps like rajdhani). so, if the TTE (or fellow passengers) object to the presence of WL passenger, there is nowhere to go...

I did mention that the person would need to travel along with this friend and would need to share berth with him.
TTE usually do not object if one can manage with a reserved passenger.

would it be fair to say that this is more of an adjustment handled outside the rules?
how many such W/L passengers can be supported by a confirmed passenger?
if i have a SL berth being shared with another RAC passenger & the SU guys brings a WL passenger along, how can we accommodate 4 people on the SL berth? would i not have a right to object to the TTE, even if the guy with reservation is fine with sharing his space? just wondering if this is a legit arrangement?

If I need to accommodate my friend, that means I would need to accommodate on my said berth; irrespective of its position. If I am too skeptical of the untoward happenings (Say accommodating on a MB), I would obviously deny my friend of such social services.
