Dear Bhaswaran,
2802 has NO stop in Tundla, and as such the passenger MUST go back to New Delhi (195+1866=2061Kms.) for AGC-NDLS-BBS; (or) Go to Kanpur Central and take this train (259+1364=1623Kms.) ....and in either case, the distance is greater than the one consumed by 8508 for AGC-BBS Journey. |

Thank you sir, as that last piece of info. was quite helpful, I was considering taking the train back to Delhi, but now I will rush off to purchase a ticket if still available on teh *%)*from AGC to BBS. How easy do you think it is to get a local train from BBS to PURI?

I should know here in several minutes if I got a ticket on the 8508, the train was fully booked so they used the
'emergency method' (forgot what's called, but it was not cheap) I'm basically paying for the whole distance of the trip. Anyway, I will be happy if i leave this AM at 11:30. Being that I do arrive at around 16:10 or later, I think i might have to take a bus to puri, we will see, once again many thanks!! |

In Puri
Did finally make it to Bhubaneswar and then Puri, it took over 32 hours on the 8508 at it was very late, then took a mini-bus for 1 1/2 to Puri nice place although it is overcast with some rain. Tonight I will take the train from Puri to Howrah station. I guess many train lines are still not open due to the flooding, but I have checked and it has not been cancelled. Thanks for the help.
