train station codes

hi

i just wondered, if anyone would be able to tell me if i have the right codes for booking trains for travel around Rajasthan?

IE are these the best stations to arrive in/are served by the fastest trains (for a couple who have merely two weeks to get around)

Any help would be much appreciated

Delhi - DLI
Jaisalmer - JSM
Udaipur - UDZ
Jodhpur - JU
Jaipur - JP
Agra - AGA

Regards

Adrian

All correct except Agra

AGC for north-south
AF for east-west

BTE = Bharatpur (about 50 Kms from Agra, or 30 Kms from Fathepur Sikri, there are overnight trains from Bharatpur to Udaipur.)

I think you could try NDLS for delhi also as the Ajmer Shatabadi from Delhi for Jaipur starts from NDLS and not DLI

The two are linked, I always just use DLI when searching for trains from Delhi and all trains from All Delhi stations appear.

It's the same for most Indian Cities, but not all, Indian Railways has missed some, Agra, Pathankot and Varanasi immediately come to mind.

Thx Steven,
I think you search on irctc.com directly. I normally prefer to search on indianrail.gov.in, where one can search with city names on 'trains between important stations'. So never realized that the code search is as good

I normally search on the indianrail.gov.in site, but I use this page as I find the 'trains between important stations' too limited.
