Train RAC not met?

Hi,

I cant find this info in the forum. But if I have a ticket which is RAC 7 and 8 on the AC 3 class, and if no one cancels....I am still guaranteed a berth in Sleeper? or is it in 2nd class chair?

You are guaranteed a seat(share a berth with other RAC ticket holders) in AC 3, not a berth. A berth will be allotted to you en route, as and when its feasible.

Dear Cadaz,
It would be much more helpful to analyse, if you can indicate the (i) starting point of your journey (ii) termination point (iii) class in which you are RACed OR WAITLISTed
(iv) Train Number.

If it is RAC.7 & 8 means, you are assured of Seat in AC.3 Tier itself on the Side Lower Berths, which means, one Berth is guaranteed for one person to sleep.

But normally, the RAC.7 & 8 gets confirmed!!!!!

No this is the VARANASI to AGRA Fort on the MARUDHAR EXPRES 4863. Its on the 3rd of November.

I'm still thinking whether to get a confirmed SL class or a RAC AC3 tier. Beucase the day before that ride, I would already have a 14 hour SL class ride and I'm not sure if my girlfriend can take another 12 hr in SL class so its best we sleep in confort because we will arrive in AGRA at 6.10am and will start our trip to TAJ MAHAL without resting.

and also, I and my girlfriend must be in the same coach sleeping side by side as I don't feel safe for her sleeping a few beds away.

Then how you are placed from Agra Fort to Varanasi, from where you have planned to take 3152 on 6.11.2005? Just out of curiosity. :-)

RAC means resrvation against cancellation, which means that if there are no cancellation u do not get a sleeping berth but just a sitting accomodation which is shared side sleeping berth between two persons.
