Train informaton: Varanasi to Agra

Hello, I am new poster but big fan of the forum...I am looking for train info for varanasi to Agra via Gwalior...then I was planning to go from Agra to Jaisalmer... I wanted to bypass Delhi and spend minimum time in Agra, any ideas oh masters of the steel wheels??

Train 1108 departs Varanasi Jn daily at 14.30 and gets to Gwalior at 07.35 (2A, 3A, SL.)

There are loads of trains from Gwalior to Agra Cant station, the following trains will be the most reliable.

2988, Gwalior 15.45, Agra Cant 17:35 (2A, 3A, CC, 2S.)
2279, Gwalior 16.55, Agra Cant 18.47 (CC, 2S.)
2001, Gwalior 19:05, Agra Cant 20.25 (ECC, CC.)(runs about 15 minutes later on Fridays)

The following trains may run a bit late....

2715, Gwalior 06.26, Agra Cant 08:30 (2A, 3A, SL.)
8237, Gwalior 13:55, Agra Cant 16:00 (2A, 3A, SL.)


To get to Jaisalmer from Agra, you'll have to get a train to Jodhpur or Bikaner, then a train to Jaisalmer.

Train 2307 departs Agra Fort station daily at 19.35 and gets to Jodhpur at 07.20 (2A, 3A, SL.)

Part of that train (2307A) goes to Bikaner and arrives at about 08:30, it has Sleeper Class and either 2A or 3A.
