I will when I do the final diagram, there will be more room to include the tables, at the moment, I've just left gaps where the tables will be.

Dear Steven,

##I hope with this picture, our Members will get an idea about the seating arrangement in GR.AC.Chair Car.

##I suggest, a small correction. Instead of "slanted red-line", please write the words "door" at all the six places in the diagram.

##Between the two toilets, in the vacant space please write "V" which means Vestibule.

Just for you VSP.

Actually, the words look a lot better than I thought they would, I don't think I'll change all the other diagrams though.

A pain in AC Chair Car in some of the coaches is half the seats face the side in the direction of movement of train while the other half face the other side. On longer journeys you are sure to have headaches..if you are sitting on the seat and sitting opposite to direction of movement of train..

I travel on New Delhi - Dehradun Shatabdi at least once in a month for my work since last 6 years. I have traveled on Bhopal Shatabdi and Chandigarh Shatabdi too. I haven't felt any problem till date....

Let's see what other IMers say !!

It's actually a bit safer to face the rear of the train. In case of a collision (which of course almost never happens on Indian Railways), you'll be pushed into the seat back instead of being thrown forward.

This goes for travel anywhere: Some people dislike facing the other way, some have no trouble with it whatsoever.

Jean-Philipe is correct saying traveling looking backwards is actually safer, for the reason he mentions.

Already answered in the other thread you posted this question.

Now, that doesn't help anyone who finds your above post using the search engine, and that's why we have a policy of not posting the same questions in different threads.
