Train From Mumbai To Udaipur

Does anyone know if there is a train running from Mumbai to Udaipur - for the life of me, I can't seem to find any info on this route. Thanx!

i think trains run only upto jaipur/ajmer from mumbai, coz of the narrow guage / broad guage thing, u will have to get down at a station called phalna junction and the take a bus or cab to udaipur,

the railways were converting all narrow guage into broad guage , i really dunno if its done on this sector too, as ive not traveled there of late.

I don't think there is, atleast not directly. I was trying to plan the same train, and had not luck. There are some flights, for about 100 bucks. It will save you like 20 hours of train travel. That might be worth it.

Try Air Deccan from Bombay to ahmedabad 900 rps. then bus to Udaipur it takes about 5 hours

The Indian Airlines operates ONE Flight on 5 days in a week from Mumbai to Udaipur and the Jet Airways operates Two Flights - one of which runs 6 days in a week and the other one a daily flight.// I am not sure whether Air Deccan/ Air Sahara/ Kingfisher/ Spice Jet have included Udaipur in their schedules. The Fare by Indian Airlines Flight is Rs.6485 ($150 approx.)

To carry on the thread: I plan to take a train from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and hopefully a bus to udaipur

I just found out that there are buses by Rajasthan Roadways that ply the roads from Udaipur and Ahmedabad at regular intervals daily and i have their schedule.

Does anyone have it on the other way round? from ahmedabad to udaipur?
