Train from Kanpur to Haridwar. Slip Route?

Does the train Sangam Experss(4163) goes to Haridwar from Kanpur daily?

It shows Haridwar on a slip route. What does slip route means?

As I have mentioned in a posting in another thread of yours, 4163 Sangam/Link Express does pass through Kanpur, leaving there at 21:20 and reaching Haridwar at 11:05 on the next day.

Haridwar being shown on the "slip route" indicates that not all coaches in the train go to Haridwar. When the train from Allahabad reaches Aligarh Jn., the "slip source," the coaches bound for Dehradun are separated from the main body to form the Link Express, while the rest of the train moves on to Meerut City --- the Dehradun coaches "slip" off the train at Aligarh Jn. It is only these "slip coaches" that pass through Haridwar. There is more on "slip coaches" at the IRFCA Web site.
