Train from Delhi to Chennai

Looking to book a train from Delhi to Chennai for sometime around the 17th of September.

Heard there was a 28 hour express that left from Nizamuddin but its been a while since i've used the booking website and i keep getting the communication message. Pretty sure I'm checking the right day of the week. Anyone taken this train? How's the comfort and is it likely to be available for my desired dates?

Its been long enough since i've taken a 24+ hour train journey so that it seems like a good idea at the moment...

But this 2434 departs from Nizamuddin only on WEDNESDAYS & FRIDAYS,say, on 10.9.2008,12.9.2008, 17.9.2008, 19.9.2008!!!!

But 17.9.2008 meets the OP's criterion of "sometime around the 17th of September", doesn't it?
