1. Pls advise me on admissibility of a circular journey ticket on following route
New delhi - Puri - Bhubneshwar -Chennai- Rameshwaram -Madurai - Kanyakumari-Ernakulam - Coimbatore -mysore- New delhi

Bhubneshwar and madurai are used only for changing trains as there is no direct train from Puri to Chennai and from Rameswaram to Kanya kumari.
2. Advise me if it is necessary to get endorsement of stationmaster if if reservation has been made in advance.

I'm happy to work it all out (and it will take a bit of time).

But I fear that the route you take could end up looking a lot different from the above, I say this because of the other threads you have started asking about places that are not on the above list.

A small change...

That would probably have to be booked through Southern Railways.

You need to find out if they have an office or a representative in Delhi, if not, you could book through a nationwide agent.

This should be booked at Chennai...SR HQ. I doubt if CJT can be booked by agents.

Here is something important regarding SR from the indianrail website

"No Standard Circular Journey Tickets are issued by Southern Railways, only non-standard Circular Journey Tickets as per the itenary given by the passengers are issued by the Southern Railways. A Circular Journey Ticket is charged for as two single journeys, the length of each single journey being taken as half of the total distance."

CJT repl.

Dear Steven

Actully plan to use Ernakulam to visit Munnar - to- Kodai -to-Palani-to-Coimbatore
I do not plan to undertake the Ernakulam -Coimbatore leg of the tour by train.
may be even Kanyakumar - Ernakulam. minor adjustment possible

Coimbatore will be used as base to visit ooty.

The simple answer is YES, but there is an hour's research and at least an hour's typing to explain more and advise of some changes.

You really don't seem to have made your mind up about where you want to go.

Reply to this thread in a week or so, or when you have decided where you want to go, I will then be happy to answer any of your questions.

Thank you Stevan for kind help

My tour plan is as follows
Puri (and nearby areas like bhubneshwar, konark ,chilka, Gopalpur)

Chennai
Chidambaram(optional)
Thanjavour(optional)
Trichy(optional)
Madurai
Rameswaram
Kanayakumari
Trivandrum(and adjoining areas)
Allepy(and adjoiningareas)
Kochi
Munnar
Palkadd
Coimbatore
Ooty
Palani
Kodaikanal
Mysore
Hampi(optional)
Since There are only eight Journeys admissable on a CJT some places will have to be used as a base to visit other places. Thanjavour ,Trichy , chidambaram, Hampi are only optional and can be dropped if they do not fit. I may travel kerala leg of journey on my own(ie. without CJT) due to various destinations although CJT may cover it in Km.terms. Various possiblites before me are

Ndls - Puri-Chennai-Trichy -Rameswaram-Madurai(train change only)-Kanayakumari-Ernakulam(kochi)-Coimbatore/Ooty(Coimbatore canbe used as train changing point)-Mysore- New Delhi.

Here I plan to travel kanya kumari-Ernakulam leg (although CJT Km will cover it )on on my own due to lot of tourist destinations. .
Another possibility is to drop even Ernakulam break (and add some other dstination like hospet, Gopalpur to leg) and travel kanyakumari -Coimbatore on own, ie. - (kanyakumari -Trivandrum--in between tourist destinations-Ernakulam-Munnar-Kodaikanal-Palani-Coimbatore)
From Coimbatore rejoin CJT legs of journey.
Coimbatore can be used as base to visit ooty and Palkkad(45km)
Trichy can be used as base to visit Tanjavour.

Kindly give some suggestions.

How many days do you have for this trip?

I replied to a previous thread of yours saying that there are no trains between Rameswaram and Madurai.

I'm just having a look at it now.

What class will you be traveling in?

Why Chennai? (there is a direct train from Khurda Road (near Puri) to Trichy 3 days a week)

Being budget traveller I will travel sleeper class.(Advantage India also travels with you)
Chennai because I can board a train from Berhampur (Reservation from bhubneshwar) at 15.15 and reach Chennai by 10.30 in the morning, visit Mahabalipuram and in the night board Maduri exp9or any other there are plenty of them)reach Trichy by early morning do sightseeing whole day(Trichy - Tanjavour)- board 707 Rameshwaram passenger - reach Rameshwaram early morning(4.20)- inthe evening leave for Madurai(alternate suggestion invited) and to kanyakumari -Kerla .....

I want to avoid full day journey in trains until it becomes unavoidable(NDLS -PURI)

Dear Kanishk,
your observation:-
""2. Advise me if it is necessary to get endorsement of stationmaster if if reservation has been made in advance.""
-----
@@@@Very recently the B/J Rule on CJT has been modified and the present Rule is:-
"""The endorsement of break journey is not required on circular journey tickets""
==========================
Please keep the following points in view:-
1) A maximum of eight breaks of journey will be admissible on CJTs.
2) CJTs can be purchased for all classes of travel.
3) But if you get down at a particular station, say, around 1.00 hrs. hrs. and take the connecting train at 23.55 hrs. on the same day, it DOES NOT AMOUNT TO BREAK JOURNEY.
===============
If you are interested only in MUNNAR, I understand, you can do it even from Madurai so that from Kanyakumari, you can straightaway proceed to Coimbatore/Ooty.
Perhaps, you can take a special permission to perform journey by road from Ooty to Mysore so that you can save lot of time.
--
From Mysore come to Bangalore and then take 2649 Karnataka SK and be in Delhi within 36 Hours (***thus consuming 80 minutes more than Rajadhani)
