Hi all,
Tried to search on the following subject, but didn't find anything interesting. Would be great if anyone could comment on it. What/Are discounts are available for those with international student ID cards? - Train fares? - Entry fees? - Others? And could those discounts also apply to those under 24, but without the int'l student ID card? |

Can't find my Trains at a Glance right now, but I believe that students do get some percentage off train fare, as do seniors, war heroes, and a few other classes of persons.
Entry fees? Like to the Taj? Forget it! And if you don't have a student ID (and you're much better off with one from your school than that old International Student ID), forget it.

I could easily be wrong, but I believe that only the senior citizens discounts on trains are available to foreigners.

Steven is right. Student concessions do not apply to foreigners.
For details, one may write to "The International Tourist Bureau", New Delhi, at: itbnrind@nda.vsnl.net.in
