Train Delhi To Jaipur

Considering a stop in Jaipur from Delhi before heading to Bharatpur. Been on www.indiarail.gov.in as looing for an evening train that we can hopefully get some sleep on. The best one seemed to be either the 9106 DLI Adi Mail Delhi 2250 arrive Jaipur 0435 or the 9733 Shekawati Exp Delhi Rohilla 2300. Japuir 1020am.

The question? The first train the 9106 is quicker but if we are arriving at 4.35am we are going to have to hang around before we can do anything ie sites etc unlikey to open until 9am yes? Also with this train, we aren't going to get as much sleep because we arrive early morning but not much point booking into a hotel. The second train sounds better ie a slower train but arriving at a reasonable hour in the morning and hopefully after a decent nights sleep - the only issue on this one is it's from Delhi rohilla and I'm not sure how far that is from Old or New Delhi? We are staying in Connaught Place and need to go back there to collect our luggage before heading for a night train so any advice welcome.

I think the 2nd train may no longer be running (I have no time to check), it is the old metre gauge route and another member of indiamike told me that the line was about to be converted to broad gauge.

A way to check if the train is still running, is to check the 'availability' for tomorrows train (and up to the next 8 weeks to see if it's due to stop running)

Click on the 'Train Information' link below to find instructions for an easy way to check availability, though getting availability info before (Indian) morning time may not be possible.

Sorry, just checked, the train no longer runs between Delhi and Rewari.

@@@In that case, you may consider taking 2916 at 15.05, which reaches Jaipur at 20.35 hrs., and have your sleep in the Hotel, and be done with this problem:
