Train at glance 2008 in new excel/html format

Hi,
we have train at glance 2008 in a new format where you can see all the train information table wise and train number wise also. erail has added this features in their site. you can choose the table at the top of the page or you can choose train number index for a particular train number.here you can see all the train in column wise not as in the pdf format where you have to go to each page . the seprate colors has been given to superfast, shatabadi, rajdhani, garibrath trains to look easily the type of the train. As this is excel format you did not need a adobe reader and also you can take a print out of the page.

Hello Bissa,

Neat job and would like to thank you for putting excel based TAG in place. Looks an easy reference for us.

Are you the people who worked on the erail site? If yes, congrats its an amazing User interface and great tool to find train related info.

In the event if its true..
  • on the seat availability, whether you do availability caching from the Indian rail site or you do direct XML connectivity to IR servers everytime a query comes?
  • Is Thomas Cook using your availability API? Railways generally don't give direct IR XML access.
Appreciate if you can help me answer that questions. Once again a real neat job on the TAG 2008.

Cheers
Hymz

Great Effort Bissa.

without taking anything away, you really have put things in a simpler mode by TAG

Your link was attached to erail subdirectory and hence the impression that you are with Erail people.

Cheers

Thanks. i am working on a new TAG which will have just 20 tables and you will get all the trains .you will be having all the station where the train stops. in the present TAG you do not have the full schedule of the train it show only importatnt stations. the new TAG will be with all the station where the paricular train number has stoppage and it will be shown in just 20 tables. this is just an inforamtion i want to share with all the gurus of indian railway forum.
