Tatkal - boarding from next station
Hi,
I would like to book 2 tickets from rajpura or ambala cantt to jammu for 20th of march 2008. But tickets are not available. I am trying to book for train no. 4645 Shalimar express. For on line booking i tried tatkal quota for this train but tickets are availabe from new delhi to jammu and not rajpura to jammu.
My Q is can i book ticket from new delhi to jammu (tatkal) and board train from Rajpura, i know for this i have to fill the boarding column as RAJPURA if i am getting the ticket booked from normal window, but i am not getting this option on irtc web site?
2nd Q is can i book this tatkal ticket from place other than new delhi?

Your quick reply will really help me. A longer reply, 14 berths remaining in Sleeper Class, 4 berths remaining in 3-tier air con, and 4 berths in 2-tier air con, all on the foreign tourist quota.
Where are you? where will you be? You can't book on the FTQ when booking on-line, you need to go to a reservation centre that has a tourist window.
